If you live in Bengaluru, June 24 is a day worth planning around when it comes to electricity. Power will stay off for nearly seven hours in several parts of the city because of maintenance work. The power distribution company has confirmed that outages will begin at 10 am in different localities and stretch until 2 pm, 4 pm or 5 pm depending on the area.
Quarterly maintenance is being carried out across various parts of the city on June 24, and that is why supply will be suspended in three separate time slots: 10 am to 2 pm, 10 am to 4 pm, and 10 am to 5 pm.
Longest cut: 10 am to 5 pm
The longest outage, from 10 am to 5 pm, will hit Talakaveri Layout, Amruthahalli, BGS Layout, Navyanagar Block, Batarayanapura, Jakkur Layout, GKVK Layout, Amrutha Nagar, Sampigehalli, Hosahalli, Rajajinagar, Shivanagar, Manjunathanagar, Agrahara Dasarahalli, Gayatri Nagar, Subramanya Nagar and nearby places. In the Sahakarinagar Sub-station area, the same cut will run from 10 am to 4 pm.
The 10 am to 2 pm slot
The 10 am to 2 pm work is being handled by KPTCL. Because of it, supply could be disrupted in Banagirinagar, Papaiah Garden, the Balaji Kalyana Mantapa area, the Siddamma and Siddiah Reddy area, South 9th Sub Divisional Office, Jayanagar Divisional Office, 30th Main, 30th Cross, B.N.M. College, B.D.A. Complex, Devagiri Temple, B.S.N.L. Office, Banashankari 2nd Stage, SLV Hotel up to 24th Cross, Upahara Hotel, Channammanakere Achukattu, Manjunath Colony, B.M.T.C. Ditto and Rajiv Nagar.
Other localities will also feel the impact, including Syndicate Bank Colony, Padmanabha Nagar, Raghavendra Layout, Kidney Foundation, Maharaja Hospital, Laxmikanta Kalyana Mandapa, Puttalingaiah Road, Shravanti Apartment, R.K. Layout, Kadirenahalli, Yarab Nagar, 9th Main Road, Mono Type, Teachers Colony, Kaveri Nagar, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, M.M. Industrial Area, Post Office, MMI and Uma Maheshwari Temple (from 15th to 17th D Cross) and the surrounding area.
