If you live in Bengaluru, your neighbourhood could go dark today, June 25. The Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) is taking up scheduled maintenance and infrastructure upgrade work across several 66/11 kV substations, and the resulting shutdown is set to leave residential, commercial and industrial areas without electricity for up to six to seven hours.
The work spans three major power supply zones, Yellar Bande MUSS, the Rajankunte Sub-station, and the Subramanyapura ISRO Layout Power Station. People living in the affected pockets have been asked to charge their electronic devices ahead of time and arrange backup power wherever possible.
