A large-scale legal services camp is scheduled to take place at the District Court complex in Firozabad on November 1, aiming to spread awareness about citizen legal rights and facilitate direct delivery of government welfare initiatives to eligible residents. Organized in alignment with directives from the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, the administrative groundwork for this initiative has been accelerated by the District Legal Services Authority.
Extending Justice and Administrative Reach to the Grassroots
District Legal Services Authority Secretary Yogesh Shiva explained that the primary motivation behind the mega camp is to extend administrative relief and judicial assistance to the most marginalized sections of society. The event focuses on three key objectives. The foremost goal is to identify eligible beneficiaries and link them directly with various welfare schemes introduced by both the central and state governments. The second objective centers on educating underprivileged and vulnerable groups about their right to access free legal representation and counsel. Additionally, the camp seeks to inform residents about their everyday legal rights and responsibilities, ensuring that legal illiteracy does not obstruct anyone from securing justice.
Inter-Departmental Collaboration Across 44 Public Sectors
The scope of this initiative extends beyond theoretical legal counsel into a functional single-window support hub. As part of the arrangement, 44 government departments will establish official counters inside the court premises to address public queries and streamline applications. Key sectors participating in this coordinated effort include the revenue department, social welfare, women and child development, the labor department, public health authorities, and banking institutions. Officials will work on site to provide immediate enrollments and procedural clearances for entitled candidates.
On-Site Registrations for Essential Welfare Services
Citizens visiting the court campus during the camp will have direct access to critical identification and social security services. Dedicated operational counters will assist with Aadhaar card enrollment and updates, the generation of Ayushman health cards, formal submissions for government pension programs, and the processing of student scholarship forms. The District Legal Services Authority has intensified preparations across all operational desks to ensure smooth execution throughout the day.
