Alert Border Security Force (BSF) personnel stationed along the International Border in Jammu district have successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt from across the border. Border guards deployed in the Kanachak sector spotted a Pakistani national moving under suspicious circumstances as he attempted to cross into Indian territory, swiftly moving to apprehend him. Thanks to the round-the-clock vigilance of the BSF troops, the intruder was prevented from advancing any further into Indian land. The captured individual remains in custody, where security officials are subjecting him to detailed interrogation.
Identity of the Intruder and Origins in Sialkot
The apprehended infiltrator has been identified as 45-year-old Nazir Sadir. According to initial details gathered by security forces, he is a resident of Luni village, located in the Sialkot district of neighboring Pakistan. As soon as he crossed the International Border line in the Kanachak sector, alert BSF personnel observed his unusual movements. Acting promptly, the troops intercepted and detained him right at the border line, blocking any potential movement deeper into the sector.
Joint Investigation Team Formed for Multi-Agency Interrogation
Given the sensitive nature of cross-border intrusions along the International Border, security agencies have assembled a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to conduct a thorough interrogation of the detainee. This multi-agency panel comprises officials from the Border Security Force, the BSF Intelligence Wing, the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Indian Army, and the local Jammu and Kashmir Police. Together, the team is evaluating the background of Nazir Sadir and cross-checking the statements provided during questioning.
Investigation into Motives and Potential Local Support
Interrogators are focused on determining the exact motives behind Nazir Sadir's attempt to enter Indian territory. Investigators are questioning him to establish whether he acted independently or was operating on instructions from handlers across the border. Additionally, agencies are working to identify any local contacts or facilitators who may have been designated to assist him after his entry into India. The multi-agency interrogation covers specific details regarding his base in Pakistan, the route taken to reach the border, and his precise objectives in India.
