Actor and BJP MP Kangna Ranaut has been making headlines consistently over the past few days, particularly for voicing her strong displeasure regarding the CJP protests. Recently, she took a dig at liberals while sharing childhood memories of playing the role of goddess Sita at the age of 12. Now, she has responded firmly to critics who attempt to target her by circulating her old videos from parties and film promotions. In her latest video shared on social media, Kangna asserted that she has every right to make her personal choices just like anyone else, defending her decision to embrace a defined ideology.
Sharing Thoughts Before Heading To Parliament
Explaining that she was running late for Parliament, Kangna shared a video message to express her thoughts. Referring to a female colleague from the film industry, she noted that while many Hindu women work closely within the industry, they often lack a defined political or religious ideology, which is common among youths. However, she observed that once these women enter relationships, friendships, or marriages with Islamists, their thinking becomes starkly defined and radicalized. She noted that there is no harm in this because the constitution grants the freedom to adopt any ideology one desires.
Addressing Critics And Past Videos
Addressing those questioning her past, Kangna stated that she was not defending herself or denying her previous work in item numbers, large commercial films, or her past stands against nepotism and industry norms. She questioned why critics attempt to box her in based on her past. She described herself as having been a moderate Hindu, noting that if she did not stand her ground today, countless other daughters would not be able to speak up or make independent choices in the future.
Desire To Become A Sanghi And An Awakened Hindu
Emphasizing her stance, Kangna stated that while she was once a moderate Hindu, critics now mockingly ask her when she became a Sanghi. She declared that she indeed wants to become a Sanghi and transform into an awakened Hindu aligned with the ideology of the BJP and RSS. Questioning societal double standards, she pointed out how critics put Hindu daughters through a trial by digging up footage from a decade ago to question their past lifestyle choices. Acknowledging her past, she maintained that she wants to evolve into a disciplined and awakened Hindu, asking why young women should be denied the freedom to adopt a structured and conscious identity if they choose to do so.
