A disturbing crime has surfaced from Hindaun City in Rajasthan's Karauli district, where an individual ended his infant daughter's life to settle a family dispute. Ramdev Jatav, a resident of Khede Ka Pura, killed his eight-month-old child by violently hurling her onto the ground. Following the fatal assault, he crafted an elaborate deception and lodged a fabricated police report intended to implicate his brother's family members in the killing.
Fabricated Claims Against Relatives to Settle Scores
The incident occurred on October 28, when Jatav threw the infant to the floor, resulting in her death. Aiming to exploit the tragedy against his kin, he approached the authorities alleging that his three nephews and their wives had attacked his household and murdered the child. This narrative was deliberately constructed to leverage police machinery against his brother's household and settle an ongoing personal grudge.
Investigation Exposes Deception Leading to Arrest
Following the report, a special investigation team was assembled under the guidance of District Superintendent of Police Lokesh Sonwal. Officers from the Nai Mandi police station, along with the specialized unit, examined the sequence of events and the underlying domestic conflict. As discrepancies surfaced in his statements, the inquiry uncovered that the father himself was responsible for the child's demise. Authorities subsequently took Jatav into custody.
