Tension flared outside Kalam Coaching Center in Gopalpura, Jaipur, as hundreds of students gathered to protest against the physical assault of an aspirant. The controversy erupted after a student hailing from Dausa was allegedly assaulted and slapped by a faculty member inside the institute. The outrage intensified rapidly once video footage documenting the physical altercation began circulating widely across social media networks, prompting students to take to the streets in protest.
Dispute Triggered by Questions in Examination Paper
The confrontation reportedly began over an academic disagreement regarding questions missing or not appearing in an examination paper. What started as an argument between the student and the instructor over the test paper quickly escalated out of control. During the heated exchange, the teacher allegedly turned violent and slapped the student. As the recorded clip of the incident spread among peers, anger mounted swiftly, bringing a massive gathering of learners directly outside the coaching gates demanding immediate accountability.
Police Intervention and Formal Police Complaint
Upon receiving alerts regarding the massive demonstration and road blockage, police personnel arrived at the scene to restore public order. Law enforcement officials managed the crowd and dispersed the agitating students from the roadway. Meanwhile, accompanied by his family members, the aggrieved student visited the local police station to submit a formal complaint detailing the assault and demanding legal measures against the teacher.
Teacher Ousted While Safety Questions Linger
In response to the escalating unrest and public scrutiny, the management of Kalam Coaching Center dismissed the teacher from the establishment. Despite this termination, the protesting students maintained their stance, insisting on stringent punitive measures against the educator. The viral episode has intensified scrutiny over learner safety inside coaching institutes and highlighted the broader responsibilities of private management bodies toward student welfare.
