A major development has emerged from Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh, where Loni assembly constituency MLA Nandkishor Gurjar has received a direct threat to his life. The threatening phone call was made to the legislator precisely on the festival of Raksha Bandhan. Following the disclosure of this serious incident, local authorities have ramped up security measures and launched a formal inquiry into the matter.
Threatening Phone Call on Raksha Bandhan
MLA Nandkishor Gurjar himself came forward to share the details of the incident. He stated that an unknown individual called him on Raksha Bandhan and stated that they would enter his home and blow it up with a bomb. When the legislator asked the caller to reveal his identity, the person continued with the same aggressive tone and used abusive language. Although the MLA disconnected the call initially, the perpetrator called back multiple times, repeating similar threats and profanity.
Police Complaint and FIR Registered
Following the disturbing phone calls, a supporter of the legislator approached the Loni police station to file a formal complaint. Acting swiftly on the complaint, local law enforcement authorities registered a criminal case under various relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police teams have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter and are actively tracking down the suspect responsible for making the threat calls.
Reactions and Stance on Law and Order
Addressing the media regarding the incident, MLA Nandkishor Gurjar maintained a firm stance. He stated that he has briefed the Loni police about the entire sequence of events. He further remarked, "Yogi Ji's government is in power, and whether it is a common man or an MP-MLA, protecting everyone's life is our responsibility." The legislator noted that preliminary information suggests the perpetrator has a criminal background and assured that strict legal action will be taken against the accused.
