A shocking incident has emerged from Deoria in Uttar Pradesh, where an attempt was made to take a young woman to an undisclosed location under the guise of dropping her home. When the victim realized the malicious intentions of the man behind the wheel, she immediately raised a loud alarm inside the vehicle. Faced with her resistance and screams, the suspects panicked, abandoned the car on the road, and fled the scene. The local police administration was promptly alerted about the incident, and swift legal action was initiated to apprehend those involved.
The Sequence of Events From Salempur
According to official details, the incident took place on September 25. The young woman was traveling from Salempur to Deoria accompanied by her friend Abhishek Yadav. Upon reaching Sonughat, Abhishek dropped her off there and returned to Salempur. While the woman was waiting for transport to head to her home, Vikas Yadav, an acquaintance she already knew, arrived at the spot. Vikas assured her that he would drop her home safely and persuaded her to get into his car. Trusting his familiar face, she boarded the vehicle, unaware of the danger ahead.
Suspicions Raised and Police Action Triggered
Instead of taking her along the usual route toward her home, Vikas began driving toward an unfamiliar and suspicious direction. Realizing the grave danger she was in, the woman strongly protested and started screaming inside the car. Fearing that her loud protests would draw public attention, Vikas Yadav and his accomplices abandoned the vehicle on the road and fled from the location. Upon receiving information about the emergency, the Kotwali police team rushed to the spot, seized the car, and brought the victim safely to the police station, where her family members were immediately informed.
Investigation Underway by Special Teams
Sanjay Kumar Reddy, the Circle Officer of City Deoria, provided detailed information regarding the case. He stated that based on the written complaint submitted by the woman, a formal case has been registered at the Kotwali police station and legal proceedings are underway. Viewing the matter with utmost seriousness, the police have deployed the Kotwali police team alongside the SOG and surveillance units to track down and arrest the absconding suspects. Law enforcement authorities are thoroughly examining all available evidence and statements to ensure strict action is taken against the perpetrators.
