Hailing originally from Rajasthan, Dulari embarked on a remarkable journey after relocating to Ranchi, where she turned her life around through sheer determination. There was a time when she struggled without having even a single rupee to her name, constantly worrying about meeting basic household needs. However, everything changed for the better after she connected with the Vandana self-help group. Through this association, she received valuable training from the government, which equipped her with the professional capability to manufacture between 20 to 25 distinct types of daily-use products right from her home.
Breaking Free From Limitations to Achieve Self-Reliance
Reflecting on her past, Dulari shared that she used to remain strictly confined behind a veil and rarely stepped outside her house. She had to second-guess every minor expense due to financial constraints. Acquiring new skills through the support group helped her break free from those traditional restrictions and financial dependency. Today, she stands confidently on her own feet, running her household smoothly and serving as an inspiration for many others around her who wish to change their economic circumstances.
Diverse Range of Home-Cooked and Herbal Products
The collective effort led by Dulari involves producing a wide variety of household and wellness goods. Their product line includes several assortments of pure spices, crunchy snack mixes, and namkeens. In addition to food items, they craft natural herbal shampoos, organic soaps, and nourishing hair oils. Among their most creative offerings are designer soaps carefully molded into intricate shapes resembling blooming roses and lotus flowers, all meticulously prepared within domestic setups without heavy industrial machinery.
Expanding Market Reach Through Digital Platforms and Exhibitions
To market and sell her creations effectively, Dulari utilizes popular digital spaces alongside traditional avenues. She lists and sells her merchandise on public e-commerce platforms such as IndiaMART, which consistently brings in substantial customer orders. Furthermore, she benefits from regular government-issued orders and receives complimentary stalls at various official trade fairs and exhibitions organized by authorities, providing her with direct access to enthusiastic buyers.
Growing Network and Nationwide Reach From Patna to Mumbai
Her business footprint has expanded far beyond her immediate locality, with commercial orders flowing in steadily from Patna all the way across Uttar Pradesh. Dulari is not working alone in this endeavor; she is joined by four other women whose lives have also undergone a remarkable transformation through this collective livelihood initiative. They collaborate closely, traveling together wherever business takes them. Having once rarely stepped out of her neighborhood, Dulari now travels to major metropolitan hubs like Delhi and Mumbai, successfully managing her expanding enterprise independently.
