Extensive Destruction in Kyiv and Surrounding Areas
Detailing the extent of the emergency response, authorities noted that rescue operations have been underway since the previous night, particularly in and around the capital city where approximately 350 emergency personnel were deployed. The offensive involved a heavy deployment of jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles. Unfortunately, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure bore the brunt of the strikes. In Boryspil, a five-story apartment block suffered structural damage, prompting the evacuation of 50 residents. Commercial establishments were also hit, leading to four fatalities and 13 injuries within the city limits alone.
Strikes on Odesa and Railway Infrastructure
The campaign extended heavily toward Odesa and its environs through guided aerial bombs and ongoing drone strikes since the prior evening. Thousands of households were left without electricity as repair crews rushed to restore power grids. Infrastructure linked to the Romanian border crossing and export facilities was deliberately targeted as well. A railway depot in Kyiv suffered a direct hit that claimed seven lives. Additional regions, including Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, and Dnipro, also experienced extensive bombardment.

The Ukrainian administration accused Moscow of intentionally structuring its operations to maximize civilian suffering and leverage perceived gaps in air defense readiness.
