A tragic double fatality has shocked Bhopal after a transport inspector stationed in the Datia district was allegedly murdered inside a residence, shortly before the alleged assailant took his own life nearby. Senior police officials confirmed the sequence of events on Monday, stating that formal proceedings have been initiated to probe the circumstances surrounding the violent incident. Initial findings revealed that the deceased officer and the suspect had known each other for approximately seven to eight years. Officer Arrived in State Capital Just Two Days Prior
According to Additional Commissioner of Police Shailendra Singh Chauhan, local authorities received an emergency alert from a woman residing at the property. The caller reported that the man living with her had been killed inside the house. Upon responding to the call, police identified the victim as a transport inspector currently posted in Datia. Investigators noted that the officer had travelled from Datia to Bhopal only about two days before the tragic event occurred. A specialized team was dispatched immediately to inspect the crime scene, secure physical evidence, and reconstruct the sequence of events. While examining the premises, the officers uncovered that the primary suspect had fled a short distance away and died by suicide.
