Terror outfit Al-Qaeda has praised a recent attempted hijacking on a Flydubai passenger flight travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv, drawing direct comparisons with the devastating September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States. In statements circulated through sympathetic communication channels, the network reiterated that commercial airliners transporting American and Israeli nationals remain active targets for future assaults.
Incitement Issued Through Al-Bayan Publication
The instigative message appeared in a recent issue of 'Al-Bayan', an Arabic-language weekly publication launched in July by Al-Qaeda supporters. Before being taken down from digital spaces, the material was actively circulated across the group's Telegram channels. The text sought to rally extremists to orchestrate similar operations directed against commercial airliners affiliated with Israeli and American travellers.
Reference to Flight FZ1073 Incident
The article highlighted the September 30 incident involving Flydubai flight FZ1073, which experienced an attempted takeover en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv. More than 170 passengers and crew members were on board the airliner at the time, the majority of whom were Israeli citizens. The piece bracketed the September 30 flight episode alongside the historic September 11 strikes, depicting both as benchmarks in an ongoing campaign targeting adversary nations.
Threats Directed at Commercial Aviation
Asserting that the conflict has not concluded, the Arabic text declared that aircraft carrying Zionists, Americans, and adversaries opposing Islam continue to fly in open skies and remain vulnerable to attacks. The publication noted that the United States and Zionist forces face more opponents today than ever, suggesting that actions by any hostile entity could inadvertently serve the group's wider goals, while projecting the eventual collapse of American power.
