India Dismisses Pakistan Masood Azhar Drama, MEA Demands Arrest

India has slammed Pakistan over raising the bounty on terrorist Masood Azhar, calling it a mere eyewash. The MEA stated that paper announcements mean nothing and demanded his immediate arrest.

New Delhi has launched a scathing attack on Pakistan over its decision to increase the bounty on terrorist Masood Azhar, dismissing the move as a mere attempt to pull the wool over the world's eyes. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal made it clear that Pakistan is a state sponsor of terrorism, and paper declarations alone will achieve nothing. India's firm demand is that Pakistan stop making excuses, take strict action against Masood Azhar, and arrest him immediately. On the absence of Chief Ministers from Congress-ruled states at the BRICS summit, the ministry clarified its stand, stating that invitations were sent to everyone and the reasons for their absence should be asked of them.

Addressing questions raised by Congress leader Jairam Ramesh regarding recent diplomatic talks with China, the spokesperson noted that a press release had already been issued. Issues concerning Taiwan and Tibet were duly raised during the dialogue, and India forcefully articulated its concerns. PM Modi has made it explicitly clear that bilateral ties rest solely on mutual respect, mutual interests, and mutual sensitivity. Furthermore, the contentious issue of Zakir Naik is being continuously raised with the Malaysian government.
