This engagement occurred a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the Malaysian Prime Minister on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit. In their bilateral talks, Narendra Modi and Anwar Ibrahim focused on expanding cooperation across critical sectors such as trade, semiconductors, infrastructure, and defense. Malaysia is participating in the summit as a partner nation of the BRICS group.
