The agriculture department in Rajasthan's Churu district has executed a major crackdown following suspected illegal storage and potential black marketing of fertilizers. A joint team of agricultural officials and local police raided a residential property in Admalsar village located within the Sardarshahar tehsil, recovering a substantial quantity of urea bags from the home's open courtyard. The operation has triggered an extensive investigation to uncover how such a massive stock was accumulated at a private location.
Raid Conducted with Police Force on Confidential Tip
Officials acted promptly after receiving confidential intelligence regarding the unauthorized storage of fertilizers in Admalsar village. Armed with this information, the department's enforcement team, accompanied by local police personnel, conducted a surprise inspection at the site. During the search, officers discovered numerous fertilizer sacks neatly stacked inside the courtyard belonging to Mukan Singh. A thorough physical count revealed a total of 229 bags, which were immediately impounded by the authorities to prevent any unauthorized distribution.
Property Owner Names Individual from Ranasar Bikan
During the on-site interrogation, Mukan Singh claimed that the recovered urea stock did not belong to him, stating instead that it was stored there by Dungar Ram Dehdu, a resident of Ranasar Bikan. Taking this statement into account, the investigating authorities have expanded the scope of their inquiry to trace the actual ownership of the consignment and the precise motive behind hoarding it in a residential area. While officials are examining whether the stock was intended for black marketing, they emphasized that conclusive proof is still pending and will be determined once all factual aspects and laboratory findings are compiled.
Samples Sent for Laboratory Testing
The seized sacks explicitly bear the branding of Chambal Fertilizer. To verify product standards and ensure compliance, the agriculture department's inspection team collected representative samples from the seized inventory and dispatched them for formal laboratory testing. The resulting analysis will confirm the exact composition and quality of the fertilizer. Meanwhile, until the inquiry concludes, all 229 seized bags have been handed over to the custody of the Mehrasar Chachera Gram Seva Sahakari Samiti to ensure they remain under official cooperative supervision.
Action Initiated Under Fertilizer Control Order 1985
The entire operation and subsequent legal proceedings are being conducted under the framework of the Fertilizer Control Order of 1985. The department's primary objective remains uncovering why a private residential courtyard was utilized to stockpile 229 bags of agricultural fertilizer and identifying all individuals responsible for bringing them there. Further punitive steps will depend heavily on the final test reports and the verification of storage permissions.
