Major Crackdown by Anti Narcotics Task Force
The Rajasthan Anti Narcotics Task Force has successfully apprehended the notorious smuggler Sunil Meena, who hailed from Madhya Pradesh and carried a bounty of 1.69 lakh rupees. The suspect was captured in the Jiran area of Neemuch district after a 15-day surveillance operation where he had been posing as a shepherd to evade capture. According to police, the accused began his career in smuggling at the age of 15 and has 19 cases currently registered against him. He was known for his violent nature, frequently firing at police officers to recover illicit goods, and was officially listed among the top 25 narcotics criminals. The operation was executed under the direction of IG Vikas Kumar.
Robbery at a Petrol Pump in Dausa
In the Sadar police station area of Dausa, a concerning incident occurred at the Kandoli petrol pump located on NH-21. Miscreants arriving in a car refueled for 4,000 rupees and attempted to flee without paying. When confronted, they distracted the staff by claiming they would make a payment via UPI and suddenly accelerated the vehicle. The employee was dragged alongside the car, resulting in a broken hand. The injured worker was rushed to the Dausa District Hospital for treatment. The incident was captured on the petrol pump's CCTV cameras. Acting on the victim's complaint, the police have filed a formal case and are currently analyzing the surveillance footage to identify and track down the culprits.
House Collapses in Ajmer During Rain
Amidst light rain in the Azad Nagar Harijan Basti of Ajmer's Kishangarh area, a mud house built on a hill collapsed late at night. At the time of the accident, Rahul Valmiki, his wife Sapna, and their one-and-a-half-year-old son Yung were inside the premises. Following the alert, ASI Satyendra Singh and police personnel arrived at the scene. Local residents carried out a rescue operation for approximately 90 minutes using mobile torches to pull all three individuals safely from the debris. Despite suffering a serious hand injury, Sapna managed to shield her young son in her arms throughout the collapse. The injured victims were initially taken to the Government YN Hospital, where, following first aid, they were referred to Ajmer for advanced medical care.
