The inaugural official theme song released by the law enforcement agency of Uttar Pradesh has generated widespread attention across digital platforms. Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan shared the special video on his official social media handle, drawing significant praise for the department. The composition provides a comprehensive look into the multifaceted responsibilities and daily challenges faced by security personnel across the state.
A Year Long Production Capturing Real Duties
The anthem transcends a standard musical release, serving instead as a detailed visual portrayal of the various aspects of police work. Filming for the project spanned over a year, capturing footage from the Mahakumbh 25 celebrations through Independence Day 26. The cameras recorded numerous demanding situations, including crowd management during major festivals, technological implementations, traffic regulation, disaster relief operations, and routine policing. The narrative underscores how personnel frequently place their personal lives and family commitments second to ensure public safety.
Collaborative Brilliance of Renowned Artists
A host of distinguished creative figures lent their talents to this production. The project features the commanding voice of Amitabh Bachchan, paired with composition and vocals by Padma Shri Shankar Mahadevan. Noted poet and lyricist Alok Shrivastava penned the emotional verses, while actor Karan Anand portrays a police officer in the video. The underlying concept and creative direction were steered by UP Police PRO Rahul Srivastava.
Grand Unveiling at Lok Bhawan
The formal launch of Khaki Ka Sitara took place on August 14 at Lok Bhawan in Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unveiled the anthem during a high-profile ceremony. The event was attended by Shankar Mahadevan, Padma Shri Nana Patekar, lyricist Alok Shrivastava, actor Karan Anand, along with numerous senior IPS officers and police personnel. Speaking at the launch, Shankar Mahadevan expressed that being part of the initiative was among his most cherished moments, dedicating the work to the Chief Minister and the entire state police force.
