A group of activists placed packages of food and water near one of the residences in Qusra, where two Palestinian families have remained trapped since Sunday. Two local residents indicated that Israeli forces actively prevented the volunteers from handing aid directly to the households, forcing them to leave the provisions outside. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) contested these claims, stating that aid transfer was not prohibited. According to the IDF, Qusra had been declared a closed military zone, which legally prohibited entry to Israeli civilians who were among the activist group, but asserted that transferring assistance into the village remained permitted.
Tensions rose further on Friday when several settlers returned to pitch a tent near the location, just one day after military operations had cleared them from the spot. Israeli forces subsequently dismantled the structure. An official military statement confirmed that soldiers intervened on Friday morning to remove the civilian tent while maintaining measures to protect local inhabitants.
Displacement and Military Occupation of Family Homes
During Thursday's operation to disperse settler gatherings, approximately twelve Palestinian households received orders to evacuate their premises. Among those affected were members of the Abu Ridi and Hassan families residing in two of the three blockaded houses. Qusra Mayor Abdul Azim Wadi stated that Israeli forces subsequently took over several of the evacuated Palestinian homes to use them as military barracks.
Addressing the allegations, military officials maintained that the presence of soldiers inside the structures was intended to protect residents, emphasizing that orders had been issued ensuring remaining Qusra villagers could stay in their homes. Previously, a military spokesperson described the actions of the aggressive settlers as deplorable and unacceptable, promising that authorities would conduct thorough investigations and apprehend those responsible for the unrest.

Observers note that while settler groups aim to depopulate Palestinian areas to seize property, all such settlements remain illegal under international law despite accelerated government expansion policies.
