The Rare South-Facing Dakshineshwari Temple in Chowk
Located in the heart of the city at Chowk, this sacred temple of Goddess Durga holds a distinctive place in spiritual geography. The shrine features a south-facing idol of the deity, an architectural and spiritual rarity found in only two known locations across the entirety of Asia—the first being in Kolkata and the second right here in Azamgarh.
