Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is arriving in Mathura on Thursday for a two-day official visit to participate in the sacred festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. During his stay in the historic Braj region, the Chief Minister will offer prayers and perform ritual worship at the renowned Shri Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan as well as the revered Shri Krishna Janmabhumi temple complex in Mathura. Alongside his participation in festive religious ceremonies, Yogi Adityanath will present a massive infrastructure boost to the Braj area by unveiling developmental projects valued at Rs 977 crore, aimed at enhancing local public amenities and regional tourism.
Inauguration and Foundation Stone Laying for Rs 977 Crore Projects
A central feature of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's two-day itinerary is the inauguration and foundation laying of numerous public infrastructure initiatives across the Braj region. Out of the total Rs 977 crore developmental package, the Chief Minister will formally dedicate 57 completed projects constructed at a cumulative cost of Rs 540 crore to the public. Furthermore, to accelerate long-term civic infrastructure, road connectivity, and community facilities, he will lay the foundation stones for 167 new welfare and development schemes worth Rs 437 crore.
Unveiling of Shri Swami Haridas Auditorium and Housing Key Distribution
As part of his public schedule, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the newly constructed Shri Swami Haridas Auditorium, also designated as the Shri Haridas Sabhakaksh, situated within the Geeta Shodh Sansthan premises. Built at an estimated expenditure of approximately Rs 42 crore, this modern auditorium initiative was originally conceptualized and pushed forward by Mathura MP Hema Malini. In addition to opening the hall, the Chief Minister will personally hand over physical keys of newly built permanent houses to eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Chief Minister Awas Yojana.
Saint Interactions, Annaprashan Ceremony, and Council Review
The Chief Minister's itinerary encompasses significant religious, social, and administrative engagements across Mathura and Vrindavan. During his visit, Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to perform the traditional Annaprashan ceremony for infants, marking their first introduction to solid food. He will also interact with prominent saints and religious leaders of Mathura and Vrindavan to seek their blessings. On the governance front, the Chief Minister will chair a crucial review meeting of the UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad to evaluate ongoing pilgrimage infrastructure works. Additionally, he will conduct an on-site inspection of the Kanha Bhakti Stambha Marg to review physical progress along the stretch.
Friday Prayers at Shri Krishna Janmasthan and Public Address
On Friday morning, the second day of his tour, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit the sacred Shri Krishna Janmasthan temple complex to perform ritual worship and seek divine blessings. Following the morning ceremony, he will deliver an address to the large gathering of devotees assembled at the shrine for the festival. Janmashtami is celebrated worldwide with immense devotion to mark the birth of Lord Shri Krishna, who is revered as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Prior to his visit, the Chief Minister had held administrative reviews to direct officials to ensure seamless law and order and crowd control in Mathura-Vrindavan, while also mandating height restrictions for upcoming Ganesh idols.
