Addressing a gathering at the Guru Parv Mahotsav held at the Udasin Ashram in Ranopali, Ayodhya, on Monday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh brought forward a notable educational proposal. Speaking from the dais, he declared that should Yogi Adityanath form the government again in Uttar Pradesh, he would personally appeal to the Chief Minister to introduce Vedic mathematics into the curriculum of all schools across the state.
Global Standing of Vedic Mathematics and Sanskrit
Elaborating on the significance of ancient Indian computational sciences, Rajnath Singh highlighted that Vedic mathematics possesses distinct qualities that have garnered recognition globally. He pointed out that premier international institutions, citing the London School of Economics as an example, include Vedic mathematics in their academic landscape. Calling Sanskrit the language of the divine and spiritual realization, he described Vedic mathematics as fundamentally peerless. Commending the administrative performance of the state leadership, he stated that under the patronage of Yogi Adityanath, governance and traditional cultural values are ascending simultaneously toward new heights.
Spiritual Visit and Homage to Ayodhya
Prior to attending the ashram event, the Defence Minister visited Hanumangarhi and the Shri Ram Temple, offering prayers and seeking the blessings of Ram Lalla. Speaking before the assembly of spiritual leaders, he observed that Ayodhya must not be viewed merely as a geographic location, but rather as an enduring focal point of human consciousness, culture, and civilization. He remarked that Lord Shri Ram sanctified this ground, disseminating universal principles of righteousness, justice, and propriety across the world.
Model Code Restrictions and the Seers Movement
During the event, Rajnath Singh expressed satisfaction upon viewing the newly constructed building of Shri Narayan Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya. He noted that the ongoing enforcement of the model code of conduct prevented him from formally inaugurating the facility. Concluding his address, he honored the sacrifices of spiritual leaders in the Ram Temple movement, recalling how seers endured imprisonment, immense suffering, and dedicated their lives throughout the historic struggle.
