Adeel Aslam, a social media figure linked with the Pakistan based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, has died suddenly. Initial details indicate that he suffered a fatal heart attack. Aslam was closely affiliated with the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, where he actively served as the deputy editor for the student publication named Akhbar-e-Tulba.

For a long time, Adeel Aslam faced accusations of promoting and distributing literature linked to radicalization and extremist ideology. The campus magazine Akhbar-e-Tulba, where he worked in an editorial capacity, has frequently been associated with broader networks operating under Lashkar-e-Taiba. However, no formal claim or official statement has been made regarding his death or his exact formal ties to the militant group.
Suspicious Death of Top Commander Qari Saeed Abdul Aziz
Just three days prior to Aslam's death, on 9 August, a senior commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba named Qari Saeed Abdul Aziz also died abruptly in Islamabad. The exact cause behind the commander's demise remains unconfirmed, leading observers to view his sudden death under highly suspicious circumstances.
Reconstruction of the events shows that Aziz had dined at an unidentified restaurant in the capital. Following his meal, he headed toward the Quba Mosque to offer prayers. Right at the entrance gate of the mosque, his health deteriorated rapidly, causing him to collapse on the ground, and he was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
Aziz’s Key Role in Supporting Terror Families
Qari Saeed Abdul Aziz held a specific and crucial assignment within Lashkar-e-Taiba. He was associated with the internal department dedicated to providing financial and logistical assistance to the families of terrorists killed in encounters with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. His primary responsibility was ensuring that aid reached the surviving relatives of fallen organization members.
Pattern of Mysterious Deaths Across Pakistan and PoK
The deaths of both Aziz and Aslam have occurred amid a growing pattern of mysterious casualties among Lashkar personnel across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Only days before these events, another senior member of the terrorist outfit disclosed that more than 30 Lashkar operatives had been targeted and killed by unknown assailants in Pakistan and PoK.
