According to official reports, the campaign resulted in the deaths of 35 individuals. This aggressive military response follows a major terrorist attack on the regional headquarters of the Pakistan Rangers in Karachi just one day prior. The Pakistani government maintains that the operation was necessary to secure its borders and sovereignty.

Attaullah Tarar, the Minister of Information for Pakistan, confirmed the commencement of the campaign via the social media platform X. He explained that the operation was launched in direct response to the escalating frequency of terrorist assaults against security personnel across the nation. The Karachi Attack Context
On Saturday, armed militants equipped with explosives stormed the Pakistan Rangers regional headquarters in Karachi. The attack resulted in the loss of three Pakistani soldiers. Security forces successfully neutralized three of the attackers in retaliatory fire, while a fourth militant was captured in an injured state. The Pakistani military has identified the detained suspect as an Afghan national. Responsibility for this attack was claimed by Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a faction affiliated with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Details of the Airstrikes
The Pakistani military detailed the operation as a two-phase campaign. It began with a ground-based intelligence operation in the Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where security forces reported killing four terrorists, including a key commander identified as Khan Farosh. Subsequently, the military conducted targeted airstrikes against positions held by Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and the TTP near the Afghan border. Pakistan claims these strikes destroyed three primary militant strongholds located in the Afghan provinces of Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar, resulting in the deaths of 25 additional militants. Furthermore, the operation reportedly destroyed significant caches of weaponry and ammunition.
