A sudden blaze erupted inside a gas agency warehouse along the Jhalrapatan-Bhawani Mandi route in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district, leaving three individuals with severe burn injuries. The accident unfolded while maintenance work was underway on a domestic cooking gas cylinder. An unexpected and rapid leak of gas occurred during the procedure, igniting immediate flames that rapidly engulfed the workspace and trapped those standing nearby.
Flames Erupt in Kapasya Kuan Area
The incident took place specifically at an agency storage facility situated in the Kapasya Kuan locality on the road connecting Jhalrapatan and Bhawani Mandi. Durgalal Bheel, a resident of Ralayta village, had arrived at the warehouse premises to get his domestic LPG cylinder repaired. Inside the storage facility, two technical workers took up the task of servicing the faulty cylinder when gas abruptly escaped from the valve and caught fire within moments.
Two Warehouse Workers and Customer Suffer Burns
Those injured in the fire include the customer, Durgalal Bheel, along with the two facility staffers handling the repair. The warehouse workers were identified as Raju, hailing from Khanpuriya village under the Sadar police station limits, and Awdhesh Kumar, a resident of Bayana in Bharatpur district. All three men sustained extensive burn wounds before the fire could be controlled and bystanders could pull them away to safety.
Victims Admitted to Burn Ward as Police Launch Inquiry
Following the mishap, emergency responders and locals rushed all three injured men to the District SRG Hospital in Jhalawar. Medical personnel placed them in the hospital burn ward, where specialized treatment is currently underway. Personnel from the Sadar police station reached the medical facility promptly after receiving alert notifications. Police authorities have initiated recording the statements of the injured individuals, noting that subsequent legal proceedings and formal actions will follow based on these testimonies and factual findings from the site.
